Dogs and Pups in need of new famlies or friends.
Welcome to the dog page! We get dogs from time to time, sometimes there are quite a few and other times - thankfully - we have none in need. So if you're looking for a dog - and don't see one here that would suit - please email us and we can put you on a waiting list.
Before you consider getting a dog remember, dogs need lots of your time. If you want something just to show your friends, guard your house when your are away all day and that can amuse itself - don't get one.
Take the Pet Test first to see if you’re really ready for a pet.
To get more information on any of the dogs or pups, contact the person listed RESPECTING the notes on the best times to contact them. Thanks!
Scooby
This sweet dog is in desperate need of a home! He's about 8 month old, gold possibly lab x saluki type, medium size, male.
Scooby was being kept by workers on Seder Village locked up in a darkened room, all alone.
Surprisingly, he has adjusted well; he's gentle with people, children and other dogs, he doesn't bark when alone, walks well on the lead and will jog beside you if you are a runner! He's still a bit thin but in good health.
If you can help please call Karen 055 436 0829 or
via email newhomes@openpaws.org
Gretel
Gretel has been a house pet for many years but her owners is having to leave and can't take her with him.
She's an Alsation, Lab. cross, neutered female about 8 years old.
She's a big dog but pretty lazy and used to hanging out indoors - but she will need walks too!
She's been a family dog and lived with Pan Sue (below) but isn't good with cats and has been quite attached to her master.
If you can offer her a retirement home,
please contact Karen on 055 436 0829 or
via email newhomes@openpaws.org
Pan Sue
Pan Sue is a Shitsu male about 10 years old.
He is being re-homes (along with Gretel above, though they don't need to stay together).
He is a very people orientated dog and loves company and play. But he does have a few health problems the new owner will need to continue to help with.
If you can care for this fluffy old man,
contact Karen on 055 436 0829 or
via email newhomes@openpaws.org
Perfect Pup
Could this be the Perfect-pup for you?.
He needs no training, no grooming and no exercise.
If you want a special dog to show off to your friends or get as a colllectors item, why not one like this? He doesn't crave human company, doesn't care of you ignore him and never barks out of place or chews your shoes.
He's garanteed low cost on feeding, vet care and play toys aren't necessary at all. If you get bored of him, just get a new one, he won't care.
If you want a dog as easy going as this, contact
Toys-R-Us or any of your favourite gift shops - leave the real dogs for those who want real responsibilities.
